Cross-roll forging is the manufacturing method when the upper and lower drum shaped molds of the forging machine turn around once, and the heated material is molded in a shaft form.

As the forge yield is good, a machining allowance can be deleted, and the cycle time is also fast, there is a cost advantage in this method compared to the conventional molding method.


   


■Products with the dimensions of the maximum outer diameter φ100mm and the full length 800mm can be molded.

■As there are no parting lines, the machining accuracy becomes good when gear cutting the gear area.

■There will be little distortion after heat treatment of carburization, compared with the cold forge products.

■This is rotational molding that makes grooving possible.

■Automation of folding is also possible.

■Since the cycle time is fast, the productivity is high, so it is possible to have monthly production of 100,000 pieces or more with one machine. (Min. 2,000/month)

■Molding is possible if the difference between the maximum outer diameter and the minimum outer diameter is 85% or less (declining rate of the cross section).
